Joana's 1-60 leveling addon is now available!  And Joana's Hardcore guides launch today as well!  This is a big day for JoanasWorld.com, I am finally happy to say that my 1-60 guide is now ported into my in-game addon.  Also my in-game addon has also gone through a lot of refactoring and is almost an entirely new addon now with a LONG list of new features and old features have been refactored/rewritten from the ground up.  You can check out all the new features on the addon page here.  A ton of work has gone into the latest version of my leveling addon and just in time for official hardcore launch.  All my guides are now ready for Hardcore and you will find the Hardcore toggle on both my addon and webguides for everything.

Keep in mind, I still need to port the TBC starting areas (Blood Elves and Draenei) into the addon, which you can watch me do that on my twitch stream over the coming weeks.  I do plan to play official hardcore on my stream when that comes out as well, which I am highly looking forward to!

12-60 Alliance Shaman class steps have been fully implemented.

The 1-60 guide addon is still under construction.  TomCat is building a tool that will convert my 1-60 webguide into my leveling addon.  Once that is done I can start doing the manual fine tuning for that.  In the meantime I will continue to work on 12-60 class steps.  My 1-60 leveling Addon will be built over the course of this year.

Northrend launches in 2 days (on September 26)!  My in-game guide addon for 70-80 Northrend has partially launched today!  You can now download it from Curseforge and you will get Borean Tundra and Howling Fjord for both Horde and Alliance for free to use.  Everything has been tested and im sure you will enjoy how well it works for your leveling efforts.  You can find more information about the addon here.  I have also released a new YouTube video showcasing my new leveling guide addon.

In preparation of launching my new in-game guide addon I have changed the color coding on this site for "accepts" and "turn-ins" from teal/green to yellow/orange to represent the same colors used in my new in-game guide addon.  I wanted the colors to be the same across all my guide versions.  Hopefully this will not cause any confusion considering I have used my old color codes for over a decade now.  I considered a site toggle to optionally switch them back to the old colors, but decided not to because I felt that we should get used to the new colors from now on.

Also my in-game addon for 70-80 Northrend & Death Knight leveling guides are about to launch in about a week.  You can get a sneak peak at its features and info for it on Joana's In-game Addon page.

My 1-60 guides now have a WotLK toggle option for the "Select Game Version" button (at the top of every guide).  I have also left in TBC as a toggle option until the WotLK prepatch officially goes live on August 30th.  The major changes for the 1-60 WotLK is the Stormwind City map is different, so all coordinates are updated for that.  All the Alliance boats are updated (Stormwind Harbor and Menethil Harbor).  And the 50% increase in XP from 1-60 has all been updated.  If you guys are aware of anything else I missed here please let me know either via my Discord or simply use the contact link on my site.  I do not have time to go play through 1-70 to find all the changes/errors as I still need to port my 70-80 webguides into my new in-game addon, which should hopefully be fully available by WOTLK launch!

My WOTLK leveling guides are now available for purchase!  I have finished working on getting my 70-80 web guides done and are now available for use.  WOTLK game launches September 26th, so that is two months from now.  This means for those of you who have WOTLK beta, you can now use my WOTLK leveling guides to level through it.  Also its very important that you report any errors to me!  As I will continue to fine tune the guides so they are perfect.  Thanks!

Almost a month into WOTLK leveling guide work and everything is going smoothly so far.  I should for sure have my web versions done by August.  Then I will start porting it into my new in-game addon.  Also I have a Death Knight Abilities, Talents & Prep Guide available for free if you plan to play a Death Knight for WOTLK and would like to get some tips.

The 1-60 Alliance leveling guide has been further perfected for the 100% XP rate for SoM.  12-60 Alliance Druid class steps is now implemented as well.  Next up is WotLK leveling guide work!

Today, Wrath of the Lich King Classic was announced to be coming out sometime this year.  I will be providing high quality leveling guides for it.  These leveling guides should be available with my new in-game addon format along with web guides as well.  I have already spent an enormous amount of time working on leveling routes and guides for WotLK in the past and will be remastering all that work for WotLK Classic.  These leveling guides will cover all the daily quests in-depth along with a Death Knight leveling guides as well.  As of right now the release date for WotLK Classic is 2022.  Since WotLK takes place in winter for the most part and was originally launched November 13, 2008, I suspect a similar launch date for this year (November - December timeframe).

My SoM leveling guide (SoM site toggle at the top of all 1-60 guide pages) is now updated to accommodate the new 100% quest XP change for the latest SoM patch.  I will be testing this new change personally over the next few weeks.  Please report any errors or suggestions to me about this as you are leveling in SoM.

Happy new year everyone!  SoM is now fully tested for both Horde and Alliance.  Along with that the Warlock class steps are now fully implemented through out my 1-60 Alliance leveling guide.  SoM is very similar to my Classic Era leveling guide with only a few minor changes here and there.  If you are playing SoM please make sure you toggle the site button at the top of the site for SoM (or for whichever version of the game you are playing).

Over the next month or so I will be implementing all the class steps for the TBC starting zones (Eversong Woods + Ghostlands for Horde and Azuremyst Isle + Bloodmyst Isle for Alliance).

The 1-60 leveling guides have been updated, including:

• All precise waypoint buttons are now in place.
• Better routes that include new TBC specific quest hubs that will speed up the leveling process for TBC.
• Updated quest log images after each section (for TBC).

New Guide Feature:  At the top of all the 1-60 guide pages you will see a button that says "Select Game Version", this will switch the entire 1-60 guide to either TBC Classic or Classic Era.  The guide will then change the content for the version of WoW you are playing.

New Guide Feature:  Clickable coordinate copy for the coordinates!  A few of you have been requesting this and I thought it was a great idea and so far the all the 60-70 and 1-20 have the coordinate buttons in them so far.  You can see all the coordinates are buttons (which act just like the /Target buttons) that will copy coordinates to your clipboard to be pasted into the game and with the TomTom addon, it will give you an arrow to direct you where to go.  The rest of the 20-60 coordinate buttons will be finished soon.

And also to update you on what else is going on: ever since they announced that TBC is coming out back in Feb 19th, I have been working nearly over a 100 hours a week trying to make sure my TBC leveling guides are finished by launch.  I have about another 1.5 months until my 60-70 Outland leveling guides are finished (at least ready for testing).  I do plan on having an in-game addon version, initially for my 60-70 TBC leveling guide, which is being made by Twitch.tv/TomCat (he does all his programming live on his twitch channel), so go there and give him some support if you would like to see the in-game addon happen.  Unfortunately at this time I have no ETA on when it will be ready.

Blizcon 2021, February 19th, they announced that TBC Classic will be happening and launching sometime in 2021. I will be dedicating full time on making leveling guides for TBC Classic and plan to bring you the highest quality of polish for these leveling guides to make your journey through Outland seamless and fun!

My leveling guides has been updated for Phase 4.  The biggest change is the inclusion of the Cenarion Hold, Silithus quests.

New Guide Feature:  Quest log images after each main section.  This has been one of the most requested features I get.  This will allow players to help stay on track of the leveling guide more efficiently.  Players can also jump into the middle of the guide more easily knowing which quests they should have for each section.  Please note that this is now fully implemented for the Horde guide, the Alliance one will come later.

About the In-Game addon:  I been having issues with programmers not getting back to me.  As of just a month ago I now have a new programmer to make my in-game guide.  His name is TomCat and he makes well known addons for retail WoW.  He streams all his programming at https://www.twitch.tv/tomcat

Please go to his channel, follow him and feel free to ask him how the progress is with Joana's In-Game leveling guide addon.

Unfortunately I will not have an in-game addon anytime real soon, there simply is not enough time to get any of it done and tested for use. It will come later on. My web guides here on JoanasWorld.com are in really great shape for Classic WoW.  The ETA is that my addon will come out slowly over time, starting zones may appear sometime this year.  It will be a number of months until it is fully ready.  It will be full of features and tons of work will go into it, that is why it will take a little while for it to come out. I appreciate your patience on that!

The one time payment will include my Classic WoW in-game leveling guide addon once that is available along with all its future updates.

Also, I know there has not been a news update in awhile, but I have been making many small tweaks to the leveling guides over time, as players report small errors or suggestions I have been responding to them and making necessary adjustments.

My leveling guides will now automatically adjust for the different phases of Classic WoW.  This means my guides will now hide the following until they are available in a future phase: Level 50 class quests, Agrent Dawn Turn-Ins (the 30 item quests, such as Savage Fronds, Crypt Fiend Parts, Dark Iron Scraps, etc..), and Cenarion Hold quests in Silithus.

Keep in mind you may see missing step numbers throughout the 50-60 guides because of this change and you may see more steps on the images.  Just ignore them as they will be in a later phase for Classic WoW.  Also please report any errors to me about these new changes as I have not tested them yet in-game, thanks!

New guide feature:  You can now hover over Flight Master links and it will tell you how long the flight will take.  Please note that this is mostly implemented for the Horde side and partially for the Alliance right now, the rest of the flight path times will come later.  This comes useful for letting you know exactly how much time you can leave your PC to take a break.

New guide feature:  Targeting buttons ( /target ) for various named mobs/NPCs and some normal mobs.  Simply click the button to copy the /target NPC to your clipboard, then paste it in the game to quickly target the mob/NPC.

RANDOM UPDATES:

• In-Game Addon Version of My Leveling Guides:  As of June 6th the In-Game Addon version of my leveling guides has began construction!  It will be a long road before it's finished completely, so I cannot guarantee how much of it will be ready for Classic Launch but there is a decent chance that some starting zones will be complete for it by then.  It will be full of features, including:  waypoint arrows, automatic updating, and much more.  More features will be available for it overtime too.
• 1-60 Alliance Guide:  My 1-60 Alliance guide (web version) will be fully available for Classic launch.
• Members Area:  My members area will launch one week before Classic WoW launches.  At this time I am unsure of how much content will be in it.  I suspect it will be about the same price of a Twitch sub (of only about $5 a month or so).  The members area will support the ongoing efforts to improving my leveling guides over time.  There is a lot more content planned for the future, including remastered TBC leveling guides (even if Blizzard does not launch Classic TBC).  And remastered WOTLK leveling guides.  I plan to continue to make leveling guides for WoW full time for many years to come!
• I will be Speed Leveling for Classic Launch!  Yes I will be devoting 100% of my time for the first week of Classic launch to do a speedrun from 1-60 and my goal is to beat my personal best time of 4 days 20 hours.  You can watch this live on my Twitch Channel, so be sure to give it a Follow!  This also means I will be unavailable to do email support for my leveling guides on the first week of Classic launch.  So I highly recommend if you plan to use my guides to get members access prior to Classic launch to make sure you can login with no issues.

The Warlock steps are now fully implemented into the 1-60 Horde leveling guide.  This covers getting all Warlock Minions (except Infernal) along with all the other Warlock quests throughout the game including the level 40 Felsteed mount.

The Warrior steps are now fully implemented throughout my 1-60 Horde leveling guide.  This will make it a lot easier to follow my Horde guide with a Warrior.  The guide also fully covers getting that powerful Whirlwind Axe at level 30.  More step-by-step class guides are coming soon!

The starting zone for the Undead has gone through a major improvement with the addition of Silverpine Forest.  The guide will now get you from 12-15 by doing a good chunk of the Silverpine Forest quests.  The guide also blends in better with the Barrens guide.

Numerous quest additions/changes for the 30-40 Horde guide.  Added in the Faldir's Cove quests in 37 Arathi Highlands and some optional group quests.  Some changes to the STV sections:  added in the "Supply and Demand" questline from BB.  Also moved the elite quest "The Vile Reef" from lvl 34 to lvl 39, so that should be much easier to do now.

I have now been on Vanilla WoW full time for an entire year! Started back January 10th of 2018. I accomplished a lot in one year but there's still so much more to get done for my speed leveling guides. Here's to another great year of WoW!

I made some adjustments to my Hunter talent distribution points on the Speed Leveling Tips & Tricks page.  Basically I am obtaining Improved Aspect of the Hawk rank 4 & 5 much sooner than my last build.

Also the 12-60 Alliance leveling guide is coming along very nicely and I would say it is on par with the same quality with my 1-60 Horde leveling guide.  It is nearing completion as I am doing some final testing/tweaking on it.  It should be ready for Classic WoW beta!

The checkmarks will now save if you leave and come back to the site.  There is also checkmark removal buttons on all the guides now.

I made some route changes to the Horde levels 43-44 sections.  I have swapped 44 Dustwallow Marsh with 44 Desolace (the entire sections). This allowed me to do Deadmire (at lvl 43 instead of 38) and then go stop at TB to turn in Deadmire + The Black Shield at the same time, then fly quickly to do the Desolace stuff.  Doing 44 Desolace is now mandatory because I think its faster with the new routes. This will also make the level 53 grind much shorter.  I think these were great changes.

The 1-12 Tirisfal Glades leveling guide now includes ALL class steps.  Simply pick the class you are playing at the top of the screen and the guide will now dynamically update all the steps and images in the guide for your chosen class.

The 1-12 Durotar leveling guide now includes ALL class steps.  Simply pick the class you are playing at the top of the screen and the guide will now dynamically update all the steps and images in the guide for your chosen class.

Also, I did not have time to fully test all the new class steps in the Durotar guide.  As you play through the guide, please report any errors to me and I will get them fixed ASAP.  Or if you have any suggestions send those in as well.  Thanks!

Step-by-step class guides are on the way!  The 1-12 Mulgore Guide is the first guide to get all the individual class steps.  At the top of the guide, simply select which class you are playing and the page will dynamically update all the steps in the guide for that class (both text and images).  The rest of the guides will be slowly updated overtime to include all the class steps, but you can see how it's going to work with the 1-12 Mulgore.  I want to thank crazyK and his Placeholderguild for helping me out with the individual class content.  They are allowing me to get the 1-60 Alliance guide done while also getting all the class steps done at the same time, so everything can be ready for Classic launch (hopefully).

Also, the Alliance guide is coming along well, I am up to level 28 with a rough draft right now, but I still need more time before I release any of the 12+ content.

The 1-12 starting area for Gnomes / Dwarves (Alliance) has been completed!  This guide includes Dun Morogh and Loch Modan to get from levels 1 - 12.  I will be working on the 12-60 content next, starting with Darkshore.

The Horde levels 50-60 guide has been rewritten and revamped.  My 1-60 Horde leveling guide is now completely updated for the 1.12 Drums of War patch.  As you can see it is about 15% larger than the 40-50 guide (single largest guide page yet).  There is also a lot of route changes.  I moved the entire Silithus section from level 55 to level 58, which allowed me to include a lot more quests for that zone.  There is also a lot of other improvement to the route, including adding a lot more quests into the guide, mostly from Moonglade, Silithus and Eastern Plaguelands.  This will make the final level 59 grind much shorter.

The Horde levels 40-50 guide has been rewritten and revamped.  This was the largest single guide page I have redone yet, which took longer than I thought, but should be a much better overall guide than my previous version.

The Horde 12-20 (Barrens + Stonetalon Mountains) guide has been rewritten and revamped.  In addition, there has been numerous tweaks to the speedrun route to make things faster and easier to follow.  Also, in case you haven't noticed I am now adding about 40% more info per step and redoing all the images.  Unlike with my previous vanilla guides, I am now giving a brief explanation of where to go and what to do with each step along with any other helpful tips.
